After earning my MBA from the University of Wisconsin, I worked in, and quickly fell out of, the mortgage industry, as the cube life just wasn't my thing, and my passions led me elsewhere. Since 1993, I've been marketing and selling Spring Break and Student Travel opportunities. I worked for five different student tour companies before starting my own, so I learned what was working, what wasn't working, and what was missing from their offerings to create unique packages. With this knowledge, I founded a travel group that now controls over 50 travel related websites, and is achieving great growth potential. My short-term goal is to deliver high-quality travel experiences to over 10,000 total students this year to South Padre Island, Texas; Panama City Beach, Florida; Breckenridge, Colorado; Cancun, Mexico; and Leon, Nicaragua. In the long term, I hope to identify an additional 2-3 other travel companies for a possible merger and eventual IPO of the Inertia Tours Travel Group. Our most recent moves are into the hot Eco-Tourism market in Nicaragua, with the partnership with a sustainable eco-tour company www.GreenPathways.com that offers clients unique adventure opportunities to tour Nicaragua to surf, board down volcanoes, help save sea turtles, and discover some great real estate buys. For fun, I like to surf, paddleboard, go swimming with my sons Miller and Quinn, have BBQs with my wonder wife Julie, and dabble in used cars. I also personally own the towing company on South Padre Island (the only one, www.paradisetowingcompany.com) as well as www.southpadrelimos.com with Lincoln super stretch limos right on South Padre Island. I split my time between Austin, Texas and South Padre Island, Texas with my wife Julie, our cat Kitty (a siamese) and our two little boys, Miller and Quinn.

    July 2000 - August 2002

    o Managed a College Rep Sales Force network consisting of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. o Increased sales in that region my first year by over 50%. o Acted as the onsite program manager for the South Padre Spring Break program. Turned a program around from losing $15,000 a year to grossing nearly $20,000 the very first year.

    March 2010

    o Founded a public corporation in Nicaragua to coordinate unique student travel experiences that incorporate adventure, sustainability, and cultural immersion experiences o Coordinated with educational institutions in the United States and Central to offer study abroad credit to participants. o Conduct the majority of online marketing and SEO activities for our Nicaraguan divisions of Rise Up Surf Tours and Camp, and Green Pathways.com.

  • Owner at South Padre Limos.Com and Paradise Towing.Com

    September 2002

    o Operate a fleet of three limousines serving the Lower Valley, including airport shuttles for Brownsville, Harlingen, McAllen and South Padre Island. Supervise a staff of drivers and personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. o We are the only tow and wrecker company located on South Padre Island with a flatbed, two repo wreckers and a super truck for beach winch outs.

    August 2002

    o Day to Day Director of the largest Provider of US Spring Break Trips for college students in existence. o Oversee all sales, marketing, creative, SEO and Web activities. o Direct a half-dozen full-time employees engaged in the sale and operation of student travel. o Manage a college student salesforce of over 150 students part-time. o Operate our year round travel office on South Padre Island
